Every format has a job

  • Reels: reach. Shown to people who don't follow you yet.
  • Carousels: trust. People swipe, read, save and share.
  • Stories: action. Polls, offers, "DM us", links.

A simple weekly mix

  • Two or three reels
  • One or two carousels
  • Stories most days

What makes a reel work

The first second. Show the result, a face or the problem straight away. Add on-screen text, because most people watch on mute.

A first slide with a promise ("5 things to check before booking a flat"), one idea per slide, and a last slide that says what to do next.

Measure the right thing

Views are nice. Profile visits, DMs, website clicks and enquiries pay rent.

Quick questions

How often should I post on Instagram?

Consistency beats volume. Three good posts a week, every week, beats ten one week and nothing the next.

Do hashtags still matter?

A little, for context. Strong hooks and saves matter much more.
